Inle lake fishermen – Myanmar

This series depicts the traditional fishing method on Inle lake Myanmar. Since the lake is not very deep, fishermen use specially made nets to catch fish in the lake. The newer method of catching fish is to use nylon nets made in China. Here, fishermen will hit the surface of the water with their paddles so as to spook the fish into their nets.
